My Story
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I came to U.S. to pursue a college degree. I've always liked to draw during my childhood; particularly towards people's characters and nature. I was also an avid reader and enjoyed classic books such as Tom Sawyer and Peter Pam.
After graduating my path led to work in different industries, where I've acquired several skills, and to my area related to Graphic Design. I've worked in administration, art, production, and design. Because of these experiences I can describe myself as an individual who is prepared for any challenge.
Education
BA from San Jose State University in General Design Studies with a concentration in Graphic Design. Additional training at Foothill and Canada Colleges. Associate degree from Canada College and several courses completed at Foothill College, including Photography, Illustration, Graphic Design, and Animation. I've also continued with additional training to enhance skills with courses such as HTML and web design.
Skills
I'm constantly evolving and growing, but I have acquired a rich skill set with applications for business, design, and web. I'm proficient in the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint. I know layout design, color spaces, typography, digital color management, object compositions, and digital art. I also have knowledge of HTML and CSS. In addition I have strong command of some foreign languages, such as Portuguese and French.
